The purpose of the LionsFund Council is to support the student-athletes and teams who represent Loyola Marymount University through annual advancement, fund raising, and direct outreach to former athletes, parents, and fans of LMU Athletics.
Tom Morley '90 is the LionsFund Council Chair for 2006-07. A former Men's Basketball player for LMU, he is one of six members of his family to graduate from LMU, Tom has been involved as an alumni volunteer since his graduation. Tom is the Associate Vice President for Wachovia Securities in Woodland Hills.
Joe Sabol '96 MBA '98 is the immediate past chair of the LionsFund Council. Joe is a former Men's Tennis player at LMU and has been active as a volunteer for athletics and his class reunions since graduation. Joe served as the Council Chair-Elect in 2002-03 and during that time Chaired the successful First Annual LionsFund Summer Drive. Joe is an Institutional Equity Salesman at McDonald Investments in Los Angeles.
Joe Carroll '89 has been a volunteer since graduating from LMU and was a member of Crimson Circle while on campus. Joe is a Director for Velocity Sports and Entertainment in San Jose, CA.
Steve Carter '75 was a member of Loyola University's Club Football teams in the early 1970's. Currently a CPA in San Jose, Steve's son Patrick will be a freshman at LMU in 2003-04.
Bill Fitzgerald '48 is currently a professor at LMU and has previously served on the Alumni Association Board. Bill earned his Doctor of Philosophy from Georgetown University.
Bob Flaherty '55 is a former football player for Loyola University and one of the founding members of the Alpha Delta Gamma fraternity on campus.
Amy Garrity '93 is a former Women's Tennis player for LMU, and was also a member of the Alpha Phi sorority while on campus. Since graduation, she has served as a class representative and helped organize her class reunions. Amy works as the Vice President for Ron Okum Insurance Agency in Pasadena.
John Gernert '82 has been a season ticket holder for Men's Basketball for over 15 years and member of the LionsFund Council since 2002. John works as the Executive Vice President for VPA in Calabasas.
Drew Haberkorn '07 is the 2006-07 SAAC President and student-athlete representative on the LionsFund Council. A senior on the men's cross country team, Drew has been involved with SAAC throughout his time on campus.
Greg Homen '05 is a former Men's Water Polo player at LMU and works as an associate at KPMG. Greg also serves on the Young Presidential Associate Leadership Council and serves as a liaison between the two boards to coordinate activities for young alumni LionsFund donors.
David Kurt '64 MBA '87 is a Litigation Coordinator for John Hill and Associates in Torrance. While attending Loyola University, Dave played on both the Men's Golf and Baseball teams, as well as a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
Mike Kurz '76 JD '81 is a member of the Alpha Delta Gamma fraternity and a two-time winner of the LionsFund Summer Drive. Mike is a judge and has been a long-time season ticket holder for LMU Basketball.
Sean Lenihan '94 is an Account Director at ASV in Torrance. A former Lacrosse player at LMU, Sean had his #33 retired by the team in 1997. He remains very involved with the team as a manager and assistant coach and overseeing team operations.
Bryan Lewitt is a senior Vice President of Corporate Real Estate Service Advisors in Los Angeles. A graduate of St. Mary's College in Moraga, Bryan joined the LionsFund Council in 2003.
Cliff MacGillivray '77 is a television writer in Alamo, CA. A Men's Basketball Season Ticket holder, Cliff regularly travels to Los Angeles from Northern California to attend the games. Cliff is also a member of the LMU Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
Emilie Oliver '00 MA '02 is a second-generation Lion and loyal LMU Athletics fan who grew up watching Lions teams. An alum of the Delta Gamma sorority, Emilie also received her MA in Counseling from LMU in 2002 and teaches elementary school in the Lawndale school district.
Stephanie Olsen '99 is a former Women's Softball player for LMU. She has served as the President of the LMU Softball Booster Club and was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority on campus.
Ron Russo `64 is a former baseball player for Loyola University and long-time fan of all LMU Athletics teams, as well as a season ticket holder for Men's Basketball and joined the LionsFund Council in 2005.
Lysandra Sapp '00 has been an active volunteer for LMU and Athletics in the Northern California Bay Area since her graduation. A two-time ASLMU President from 1998-2000, Lysandra was one of the founding volunteers in the Northern California portion of the LionsFund Summer Drive and has assisted in coordinating many LionsFund VIP events in San Jose.
Scott Schaller is a regular season ticket holder for Men's Basketball and works as Sales Manager for Chemsearch.
James Van de Voorde '90 is a previous Chair of the LionsFund Council. James has also served on the LMU Alumni Association Board and is involved with the national Alpha Delta Gamma Alumni Association. James is the President of Robert Osher and Company in Glendale.
Ray Watts '93 MBA '98 is the Director of Major Gifts at Redlands University and an initial founder of LionsFund in 2001. A member of the Men's Basketball broadcasting team on KXLU as a student, Ray was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Ignatians at LMU and has continued to assist with Special Games on campus.
Mardell Wrensch '96 is the President of the LMU Women's Volleyball Booster Club. A First-Team All-WCC Selection while playing volleyball for LMU, Mardell has her jersey #2 retired by the team and was inducted into the LMU Athletics hall of Fame in 2005.
Bill Husak, Athletic Director and Rob Anderson '00 MBA '04, serve as an ex-officio members of the LionsFund Council.
