LMU TENNIS SUMMER CAMP

Campers for the Tennis Camp will learn individual skills that will help him/her improve and learn the greatest individual sport of all: tennis. Whether your child is holding a racquet for the first occasion or has been playing for some time, LMU Head Women's Tennis Coach Jaime Sanchez has a program that will challenge and excite players of all ages and abilities. The camp features individual instruction in serving, backhand/forehand groundstrokes, backhand/forehand volleys and the overhead. Singles and doubles will be covered as well.

Times:
    • Monday-Friday; 9am-4pm (full day)
    • Monday-Friday; 9am-12pm (half day)
Age: 5-14

Cost:

    • Full Day - $400.00 ($450.00 if registering within 72 hours of 1st day of camp - prior Thursday @5pm is cut off)
    • Half Day - $300.00 (#350.00 if registering within 72 hours of 1st day of camp - prior Thursday @5pm is cut off)

9:45 - 10:00 am - Warm up and stretching-
10:00 - 10:30 am - Camper Evaluations (Racquet handling, evaluate groundstrokes, etc.
10:30 - 10:45 am - Refreshment Break
10:45 - 11:00 am - Demonstration of Strokes
11:00 - 11:15 am - ***Strokes for Today*** The Forehand & Backhand
11:15 - 11:45 am - Games and Drills for Skills
12:00 - 1:00 pm - Lunch
1:00 - 1:30 pm - Free Play
1:30 - 1:45 pm - Demonstration of Forehand & Backhand
1:45 - 2:15 pm - ***Strokes for Today*** The Forehand & Backhand
2:15 - 2:45 pm - Games and Drills for Skills
3:00 - 4:15pm - Swimming @ Pool or Games/Practice
4:15 - 4:50pm - Review Strokes of the Day

What should my kid bring to camp?
• Tennis Racquet (we will provide if you do not have one)
• White-soled Tennis shoes
