Lions' Radio Busy In New Year

Los Angeles, CA (Jan. 1) - The start of the 2004 calendar year will be a busy one of the Lions' Audio Network and its flagship station KXLU 88.9 FM. The broadcasts of three events in four days will highlight the start of the year.

Women's basketball will make another appearance on KXLU 88.9 FM to start the new year, as their game at Colorado State on Jan. 3 will be broadcast live on the Lions' Audio Network and KXLU 88.9 FM. The 9-3 Lions will continue its toughest stretch of the season will they battle the traditionally-ranked Rams at 12:00 p.m. Saturday.

The women's basketball game will follow the men's basketball game against Colgate on Friday, Jan. 2. Like the women's team, the Lions will play their final tune-up of the non-conference campaign before heading into conference play when they play the Raiders at 7:05 p.m.

The busy start of the New Year will continue on Monday, Jan. 5 with the Lions' Coaches Show at 9:30 p.m. The show will preview the upcoming West Coast Conference race for the men and women's basketball teams. Guest from both teams will be featured on the program hosted by Jeff Lampe and Ryan McGrady.

The Lions' Audio Network will feature more than 110 broadcasts by the end of the 2003-04 academic year. Every event on the Network can be heard live at www.LMULions.com.
