LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Registration is now open for the 18th Annual LMU Golf Classic and Dinner Auction, benefitting the student-athletes of Loyola Marymount University. This year's Golf Classic will also serve as the lead event in LMU's 2011-2012 Centennial Celebration, commemorating 100 years of LMU. This tournament has become one of the premier events on the University's calendar, and an annual showcase for all of LMU Athletics.
This will be the third consecutive year for the tournament at Pacific Palms Resort, which was named the 2010 National Golf Course of the Year by the NGCOA and ranked #1 by Golf Digest for Best Places to Play in Los Angeles and Orange County. Most recently, Pacific Palms was host to the LPGA Kia Classic on March 21-27, as well as a regular home of US Open qualifiers.
This year, as a kickoff to the Centennial Celebration, the Golf Classic is looking to set an all-time record for player turnout with 240 total players. Early registration discounts are available through April 15, with the final registration deadline on Friday, April 29. Each player registration includes all golfing and cart fees, player tee prize package, lunch, course contests, and the evening dinner and live and silent auction. VIP level sponsorships are also available that include a foursome of players as well as marketing and signage opportunities both prior to and throughout the event.
To register today and for more event details, go to www.lmu.edu/golfclassic. To view photos from the 2010 event photo gallery, click here.
