LOS ANGELES-- Be part of a 20-year tradition with the 2013 LMU Golf Classic and Dinner Auction benefiting the student-athletes of LMU on Friday, May 17 at the Pacific Palms Resort in Industry Hills. What started as a fun 18-holes of golf to raise funds for LMU student-athletes has grown into a weekend of fun and support of the more than 400 LMU student-athletes.

The 20th annual Golf Classic will once again feature foursomes playing their choice of a best-ball net or scramble style tournament on one of the best courses in the Los Angeles and Orange counties (rated No. 1 by Golf Digest in "Best Places to Play" for the two counties). It all begins with registration and check-in at 9:30 am.

Take advantage of the driving range and putting contest while enjoying the continental breakfast provided by LMU Career Development Services.

The tournament then begins at 11 am and will be loaded with fun contests, LMU hospitality and LMU student-athletes sharing their experience and possible expertise on the course. Cocktails and silent auction dinner, live auction and the golf awards will follow at roughly 5 pm.

New to the Golf Classic and Dinner Auction this year is pre and post tournament activities. On Thursday, guests wanting to stay overnight at the Pacific Palms Resort can join the Lions for a Welcome Reception at 6 p.m. Then following the fun on Friday, there will be a post-event celebration following the dinner.

All this is to support the LMU student-athletes and their commitment to excellence as a Lion.
