2002-2003 LMU Signees

Following is a list of Loyola Marymount's 2002-03 Signees. All release links will be added to this list as we receive signed letters of approval from each future Lion.

BASEBALL
Lions Add Key Talent for 2004 Season
LMU's baseball coaching staff has once again recruited talent that will contribute to the Lion program in the coming years. Four pitchers and five position players make up this year's incoming class.

CROSS COUNTRY
Women's Cross Country Signs a Pair of Prep Standouts
Los Angeles, Calif. - Loyola Marymount head cross country coach Scott Guerrero announced that a pair of outstanding prep runners have signed National Letters of Intent. Both Katie Strachan of Tustin, Calif., and Kristen Gonzalez of Chula Vista, Calif., will become Lions next fall.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Lions Sign Guard Jon Ziri From Arizona
Jon Ziri from Tempe, Ariz., has signed a National Letter of Intent with Loyola Marymount University and the men's basketball program, announced Head Coach Steve Aggers. Ziri, a 6-2 guard from Marcos De Niza High School is the lone commitment for the Lions in the early signing period.

Two Australians Commit to Men's Hoops
Matthew Knight and Damian Martin from Australia have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Loyola Marymount University men's basketball program. Knight and Martin will join Jon Ziri from Tempe, Ariz., as the Lions' freshman class for the 2003-04 season.

MEN'S GOLF
Golf Signs Top Recruit
The Loyola Marymount University men's golf team will have Jason Wilk from Westlake High School join the program in the Fall of 2003.

MEN'S SOCCER
Men's Soccer Signs Four Highly Touted Recruits
The Loyola Marymount University men's soccer team announced today the signing of four high school seniors to national letters of intent. Joining the Lions in the fall of 2003 will be Bobby Burling, Tony Chinakwe, Raul Ybarra, and Edgar Alejo.

MEN'S TENNIS
Men's Tennis Signs Three Top Prospects
Los Angeles, Calif. - Loyola Marymount men's tennis coach Nik DeVore has announced the signing of three top prospects for next season. Linas Cicenas from Vilnius, Lithuania, Nicolas Terrien from Nantes, France and Lakewood, Colorado's Matt Phillips have all signed a NCCA National Letter of Intent to become Lions next fall.

VOLLEYBALL
Lions Sign Three Volleyball Standouts
Los Angeles, Calif. - The Loyola Marymount University volleyball team and head coach Steve Stratos has announced the signing of three outstanding student-athletes. Jania Motton, Sandy Krone and Kacey Knauf will all become Lions next fall.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Women's Hoops Inks Three Recruits For 2003-04 Season
Loyola Marymount women's basketball announced on Nov. 14, 2002, the signing of high school seniors Becky Hogue, Amanda Patton and Khalilah Daniels to national letters of intent to join the Lions in the 2003-2004 season.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Women's Soccer Inks Four Recruits
The Loyola Marymount University women's soccer team announced today the signing of four high school seniors to national letters of intent. Joining the Lions in the fall of 2003 will be Alicia Lloyd, Tana Smotherman, Amy Sauer and Whitney Temple.
