Lions Add McCormick to Strength Staff
LMU hired Jack McCormick as its newest Strength and Conditioning Coach.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - LMU Athletics recently filled its open position on the LMU Strength and Conditioning staff, hiring Jack McCormick as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. McCormick comes to LMU after spending nearly two years at UMass Lowell.
Under his new post, McCormick will work with the LMU baseball, women's basketball, women's tennis, men's rowing, golf and cheer programs.
While at UMass, McCormick worked directly with more than 10 programs, including men's and women's basketball, baseball, women's volleyball, and men's and women's soccer.
Prior to working at UMass, McCormick earned his master's degree at Fresno State University. While pursuing the degree, he served as the strength and conditioning intern with the Bulldogs' men's basketball and women's equestrian teams. During that same period, he interned with the San Jose Sharks of the NHL as well as the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA. His work at the professional level also includes serving as a volunteer assistant with the New York Rangers of the NHL during the summer of 2013.
In 2010, McCormick returned to his alma mater, the University of San Diego, to become the assistant strength and conditioning coach, working with a number of Torero teams including men's tennis, soccer, cross country/track and field and golf.
Following a two-year stint with USD, McCormick left to accept a position at Mike Boyle's Strength and Conditioning in Woburn, Mass., working as a Sports Performance Coach and leading junior high, high school and collegiate athletes through training sessions.
McCormick is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a Functional Movement Screen Level 2 specialist.
McCormick, a native of Boston, Mass., graduated from USD in 2007.
