Lions Hire New Corporate Relations Manager

Aug. 7, 2002

Los Angeles, CA (Aug. 7, 2002) -- Loyola Marymount University has hired Ryan Jamrog to fill the newly created position of Corporate Relations Manager, announced LMU Athletic Director Bill Husak on Wednesday.

Jamrog comes to the Lions program after working in sales and marketing in several minor league baseball organizations. He will take over the corporate relations manager position, which was previously organized by the marketing manager. The positions were separated and Karina Handeland will continue working as the marketing manager while adding ticket manager to her area of responsibilities.

"We are very excited to have Ryan join our staff," said Husak. "With the addition of the corporate relations position and the personnel that we have in place, I feel that we have made another big step in making this department one of the best in our conference."

Jamrog was recently with an organization called More Than Just a Game, a special projects company that assisted in the overall development and implementation of marketing and business plans for sport franchises. Prior to that, he was the director of sales and marketing for the Modesto A's Professional Baseball Club, a class-A organization associated with the Oakland A's, from 1998-2001. He served as the director of tickets/bookkeeper with Modesto in his first year with the team.

Following his graduation from Ferris State University in 1998, Jamrog took a job with the Southern Oregon Timberjacks Professional Baseball Club as the director of corporate sponsors. He received his bachelor degree in public relations from Ferris State.
