LMU Announces Schedule Changes
The 23rd ranked women's volleyball team will make its 2000 debut in the annual Alumni Game at Gersten Pavilion on Saturday, August 26. The time has been changed from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The team will once again feature returning All-American Sarah McFarland, as the Lions look to make their second consecutive NCAA appearance and sixth in seven years.
Other changes in LMU schedules this calendar year include men's water polo, who begins their season at Pepperdine on Saturday, September 2. Their Wednesday, October 25 contest against Cal Baptist at 4 p.m. was listed as a home match at the new pool at the Burns Rec Center on the LMU campus. However, the contest has been changed to a road match for the Lions, who will travel to Riverside, CA.
The men's basketball team, who opens their season on Saturday, November 4 in an exhibition game against the Basketball Travelers, had their exhibition against Son's Blue Angels moved. The game was scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 9 at Gersten Pavillion. However, the game has been changed to Saturday, November 11. The game will be held prior to the women's volleyball West Coast Conference match against Gonzaga scheduled for 7 p.m. Tip-off for the men's basketball game has yet to be determined.
