WCC Adds Another Broadcast Partner

San Bruno, CA and Heathrow, FL - The West Coast Conference and America Channel announced today that they have entered into a sports broadcast and content cooperation agreement. The new partnership includes regional television coverage of WCC basketball and other sports.

The WCC member institutions are: Gonzaga University, Loyola Marymount University, Pepperdine University, University of Portland, Saint Mary's College, University of San Diego, University of San Francisco and Santa Clara University.

In addition to men's and women's basketball, America Channel will also broadcast volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and baseball games.

"America Channel's value proposition is unique among regional sports networks, and will serve our institutions well," said Mike Gilleran, Commissioner of the WCC. "In addition, the SportsLife initiative will provide us with opportunities to showcase the achievements of WCC student athletes."

"The WCC has an outstanding athletic tradition, and they will be a featured partner on our AC West regional service," stated Doron Gorshein, CEO of America Channel. "We're thrilled to deliver exciting WCC basketball and other sports to fans in WCC's regions."

America Channel has now partnered with 19 NCAA Division I Conferences, representing 172 Universities - over 50% of all Division I schools -- to broadcast extensive football, basketball and other sports as well as numerous conference tournaments. 32 of the teams that participated in this year's NCAA Basketball Tournament will have a total of 100 regular season appearances on America Channel next season. America Channel's SportsLife TM initiative is a content partnership between America Channel and its Conference partners, their Student Athletic Advisory Committees (SAACs) and Universities -- to create video content about the aspirations, achievements, challenges, adventures, community service, and lifestyles of students and student athletes.

About the WCC The West Coast Conference is a NCAA Division I conference. The current alignment of Gonzaga, LMU, Pepperdine, Portland, Saint Mary's, San Diego, San Francisco and Santa Clara has remained unchanged since 1979, making the WCC the third most stable conference in the nation. Only the Ivy League and Pacific-10 Conference have been together longer.

The WCC crowns champions in 13 sports: baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, women's rowing, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis and women's volleyball.
