Monthly Radio Show Returns For Year Three
Loyola Marymount Athletics and KXLU 88.9 FM will pair up for the third straight year in producing a monthly radio show on LMU athletics.
Sept. 26, 2005
Los Angeles, CA (Sept. 26) -- Loyola Marymount University Athletics and KXLU 88.9 FM will once again combine to broadcast Lions' All-Access Live, a monthly radio show featuring everything that is LMU athletics. The show, which started in 2003 as the LMU Coaches' Show, will switch from Monday to Tuesday nights.
The 2005-06 version of Lions' All-Access Live will air nine times this academic year with the first show airing on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. The first half-hour broadcast will kickoff the shows for the year. Hosting the show on the year will be Jeff Lampe, the radio voice of LMU men's basketball, and Ryan Magnino, the radio voice of baseball and a junior at LMU.
Appearing on the show will be LMU Athletics Director Bill Husak and women's soccer junior Whitney Temple. Husak will talk about the Lions' capital campaign, the future of LMU athletics and what 2005-06 has in store for LMU fans. Temple, who is also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), will talk soccer and what role the SAAC has at LMU.
October will feature two shows on the month, with the second airing during KXLU's annual Fundrazor on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The show will run a full hour and will be dedicated to raising funds for the student radio station at LMU. It is through KXLU's commitment that athletics has a radio home and the Fundrazor helps support that commitment.
The Lions' All-Access Live is part of Lions' All-Access, the broadcast network of LMU Athletics. Lions' All-Access broadcasts more than 150 events each year through LMULions.com and KXLU 88.9 FM. This year the network will add video broadcasts, starting with the women's volleyball game against Santa Clara on Friday, Sept. 30.
