Women's Basketball Records 73-61 Exhibition Win Over Cassovia Bardejov
The Lions jumped out to a 19-13 lead in the first half only to see Cassovia Bardejov knot the score at 19-19 and then ultimately take a 21-19 advantage. LMU and Cassovia Bardejov battled through the rest of the first half and the Lions took a slim 30-27 lead into the lockerroom.
LMU came out firing in the second half and shot 50 percent as a team. The Lions enjoyed their biggest lead of the game with just under six minutes to play as they extended the score to 57-43. Reynolds went to work during the second half scoring 27 of her 31 total points. Sophomore Shannon Wosman followed with 10 points. Three Lions pulled down double-digit rebounds; Wosman, Bryn Britton and Adrianne Slaughter each tallied 10 boards.
The Lions were busy at the charity stripe as Cassovia Bardejov sent LMU to the line 45 times. LMU converted 23 of the 45 tries for a 51.1 free throw percentage. Reynolds led the Lions at the line as well, making 11 of 13 attempts.
The Lions return to action next Wednesday, Nov. 15 when they host AAU in their final exhibition of the season. That contest is scheduled for a 7:30 pm start in Gersten Pavilion
