W2W4: Thanksgiving With the Lions
Spend the Thanksgiving holiday week with the Lions as seven games will entertain from Gersten Pavilion.
LOS ANGELES - Thanksgiving is here and LMU will be the place to be for some fun with friends and family this holiday week. Seven games will take place at Gersten Pavilion, and this 2016 Thanksgiving Week is our #LIONSTRONG What To Watch For (#W2W4) for Nov. 22-26.
#W2W4: Nov. 22 - Women’s Volleyball vs. BYU
LMU will finish the regular season on Tuesday with a nationally-televised WCC match against #10 BYU that will air live on ESPNU ... first serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. ... the Lions dropped a five-set match to the Cougars earlier this year on the road after claiming a 2-1 lead in that match ... Tuesday's match will be LMU's Senior Night, honoring seniors Nicky Kevorken and Jamie Lea.
Last year the Lions defeated a ranked BYU in five sets to begin a memorable run to close the 2015 season, which included a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16. Come support the Lions as they look to close the regular season in style. And the GAME IS FREE.

#W2W4: Nov. 25 - Basketball Tripleheader
If you want to avoid the rush at the shopping centers throughout Southern California, then come spend the day after Thanksgiving with the Lions and a tripleheader of NCAA basketball. That’s right, three games will hit the hardwood at Gersten Pavilion. It begins with the 19th annual LMU Women’s Basketball Thanksgiving Classic. The annual tournament this year will feature a round robin tournament and will open on Friday with Fresno State taking on Belmont at 12 noon followed by the Lions taking on UC Irvine at 2:30 pm.
Then close the day with men’s basketball returning to the court as they take on Portland State at 7 pm. Get tickets for as low as $10!
Both teams are coming off of electric performances. The women return home with a win over San Diego State and Gersten Pavilion was electric last Thursday as men's basketball hosted a mid-November classic with UCONN. Check-out the highlights on LMU Sports Network:
