The LMU Athletic Training staff will feature three new trainers in 2013-14.
The LMU Sports Network takes a look at why LMU is #LIONSTRONG. This #LIONSTRONG feature takes a look at the long days of the LMU Sports Medicine staff. Joining LMU in 2013, Assistant Athletic Trainer Lacee Diamond is the primary trainer for women's basketball, cross country and track and the LMU cheer program.
Diamond came to LMU from Washington State University, where she had been since 2009. While working at WSU, Diamond served as an athletic trainer for various teams, including rowing, men's and women's track and field and cross country.
The native of Nevada City, Calif., has also worked at St. Bonaventure and Northwestern, where she worked primarily with the men's and women's soccer, basketball, women's fencing and softball programs.
Diamond earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona before receiving her masters in athletic training from Montana State University.
