The Student-Athlete Services staff supports all student-athletes in their academic and personal development. The staff provides guidance to each LMU student-athlete in their transition from high school student to college student-athlete.
Tradition of Excellence
LMU has a proud reputation of academic excellence among its student-athletes. According to the most recent Federal Graduation Rate report that was compiled in the 2012-13 school year (students who entered LMU in fall 2006), LMU Athletics posted a rate of 70 percent for those student-athletes, on Athletics aid, and 77 percent for all student-athletes in the cohort. LMU Athletics also had a Graduation Success Rate of 90 percent for all student-athletes who received Athletics aid (joined team or transferred to LMU, and are part of the same entering cohort). The 2012-13 Academic Progress Rate (APR) report, posted in January 2014, Women's Swimming received a score of 1000 (perfect) in their multi-year assessment. 16 of 18 LMU Varsity teams scored above a 960 multiyear APR. In addition, the NCAA recognized Men's Soccer, Women's Swimming and Women's Track on being in the top 10% of respective programs for the 2012-13 year in APR.
