Kristen Cirillo has been named the head coach of the Lions' cheerleading team beginning in 2012.

Former LMU cheerleader Kristen Cirillo returned to her alma mater in 2012 as the Head Coach of the Lions' cheer squad.

Cirillo cheered for LMU from 2007-11 and served as a team captain from 2010-11. During her time in a Lion uniform, Cirillo led LMU to back-to-back fourth-place finishes in the Small Co-Ed Division at the USA Collegiate Nationals (2009 and 2010), and a second place finish in the Stunt College Division at the 2011 USA Collegiate Nationals. She was also a two-time Iggy Awards Athlete of the Year nominee.

Currently also a member of the L.A. Clippers Fan Patrol, Cirillo was the head cheer coach at Crozier Middle School from 2009-11 and served as a camp instructor and judge for the Universal Cheer Association (UCA) from 2009-11.

Cirillo graduated from LMU in 2011 with a degree in business administration - marketing and management.
