Cheer Alum Cirillo Named Head Coach

LOS ANGELES - Former LMU cheerleader Kristen Cirillo returns to her alma mater in 2012 as the Head Coach of the Lions' cheer squad. Cirillo cheered for LMU from 2007-11 and served as a team captain from 2010-11. During her time in a Lion uniform, Cirillo led LMU to back-to-back fourth-place finishes in the Small Co-Ed Division at the USA Collegiate Nationals (2009 and 2010), and a second place finish in the Stunt College Division at the 2011 USA Collegiate Nationals. She was also a two-time Iggy Awards Athlete of the Year nominee. Currently also a member of the L.A. Clippers Fan Patrol, Cirillo was the head cheer coach at Crozier Middle School from 2009-11 and served as a camp instructor and judge for the Universal Cheer Association (UCA) from 2009-11. Cirillo graduated from LMU in 2011 with a degree in business administration - marketing and management.
