Briefly... Sarah Daum enters her second season at LMU and her fourth of collegiate rowing... a transfer from Orange Coast College where she rowed two seasons... At LMU... 2003... rowed primarily in the one seat for the Varsity 8... in first race with the Lions helped team to a first place finish at the Parker Cup (3/9/03)... was on Varsity 8 team that claimed WIRA Championship (5/4/03) and a second place finish in the San Diego Crew Classic grand final (4/6/03)... also part of team that earned a dual win over Santa Clara (3/15/03) and a dual win over SMU (4/26/04)... rowed on varsity four team that defeated Saint Mary's (3/16/03)... At OCC... rowed both port and starboard for coach Linda Moeller... helped team place second at AVAYA and first at the WIRA Championship in the JV8... was team captain as a sophomore... High School... graduated from Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, CA in 2000 with a 3.4 GPA... participated on both the swim and water polo teams... took first place in the 200-meter IM... Personal... Sarah Melissa Daum was born on Nov. 3, 1981 and is the daughter of Susan and Timothy Daum... volunteers with animal care facilities... has a sister, Ami, and a brother, Jason... a natural science major with a Physical Therapy emphasis.
