Dunbar Highlights Five Lions on WCC All-Academic Team

Sophomore Kelsey Dunbar was named to the 2013 West Coast Conference Rowing All-Academic Team while four additional Lions earned honorable mention honors.


Women's Rowing Third at WCC's

The Lions finished in a tie for third in the team standings at the 2013 WCC Championship while Hannah Osborne and Mackenzi Sherman earned All-WCC honors.


Men's N4+ Takes Gold at WIRA's, Women's V4+ Earns Bronze

A trio of Lion crews medalled Sunday at the 2013 WIRA Championships including the men's N4+, men's LTWT N4+ and women's V4+.

Jen Koester enters her third season with the LMU women's rowing team in 2012-13...

At LMU...
Competed most of the season as the coxswain for the Second Varsity 8+ during the spring of 2012... guided the Lions to a third-place finish in the 2V8+ at the 2012 WCC Championships... bronze medal finish in the 2V8+ Grand Final at the 2012 Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships... first-place in the 2V8+ at the 2012 Berg Cup... LMU's 2V8+ went 5-2 in head-to-head competition in the spring of 2012.. competed in the second varsity 8 for the 2010-11 season...

High School...
Swam for three years, played two years of water polo and one year of volleyball at St. Francis High School in Mountain View, Calif... was high school teammate of current Lion water polo player Kimberly Benedetti... member of National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation... four-year honor roll student...took first place at the 2007 Junior Olympics in the 4x1600m relay... also qualified for the 2006 Junior Olympics for volleyball...

Jennifer Shannon Koester was born on July 15, 1992 in Redwood City, Calif.... parents are Mark and Gail Koester... has an older sister, Laura... volunteered at The Sequoias Home for the Elderly, with the Nativity School, and with Agnews and Woodside Elementary School... majoring in communications with a minor in business... spends her summers as a counselor at the Decathlon Sports Club Camp in Woodside, Calif.
