Julia Paradiso enters her third and final season at LMU after transferring from Washington College... coxed the past two summers at Penn AC in 2002 and Vesper in 2003... placed third at US Rowing Nationals in Senior Women's 8 with Penn AC... placed first in the 2003 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in the Women's B Eight also with Penn AC... At LMU... 2004... was the coxswain for LMU's Second Varsity 8, leading them to a 5th of 11 at San Diego Fall Classic (11/9/03), first at Parker Cup (3/6/04), second place at WCC Championships (4/30/04), fourth place in Grand Final of WIRA Championships (5/2/04) and second place finish in Petite Final of Pac-10 Championships (5/16/04)... 2003... was the coxswain for LMU's Second Varsity 8 team... led Lions to a win over Saint Mary's (3/16/03) in WCC Challenge... also led 2V8 to second place finish of Petite Final at the Pacific-10 Championships (5/18/03)... At Washington College... coxed for one season for coach Chris Torney... High School... graduated from Springside School in Chestnuthill, PA in 2000... played tennis for three seasons, earning one letter, and rowed and earned varsity letters all four years... a team captain her final two seasons... was voted most valuable player as a senior... Personal... Julia Lloyd Paradiso was born in Abington, PA... she is the daughter of Dana Harbison and Lloyd Paradiso... she has two brothers, Tom and Robert... Tom is a three-year member of the United States National Lightweight Team winning three medals... a Sociology major.
