WCC Honors 112 LMU Student-Athletes on Commissioner's Honor Roll

The nine WCC schools put a total of 1,093 student-athletes on the list from the 13 sports that the conference sponsors, which is another new conference record.

Mackenzie Piper is in her junior year at LMU... is currently serving as a student assistant coach for the women's novice team...

Four-year rower at Seattle Preparatory High School for coach Coby Stites... placed 13th at the Junior Nationals as a member of the varsity lightweight boat in 2007... was also fourth regionally... went undefeated over the 2008-09 season in the open weight varsity 8... team captain at Greenlake Crew rowing club... also played four years of soccer, winning all-area honors in each of her four seasons... won city championship three of her four years... ran cross country as a freshman... Dean's List student all four years... won the Presidential Service Award, Rotary Service Above Self Award and the Paul Robeson Student-Athlete Award...

Mackenzie Jane Piper was born on March 31, 1991 in Memphis, Tenn.... parents are Lisa and Joseph Piper... has three brothers, Keefe, Kirk, and Keenan... chose LMU for the post-college opportunities... volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, for Young Life Work Crew, Young Women's Retreat, and was on Macy's High School Board... high school teammate of Hanna Osborne... majoring in natural science... interests include hiking, backpacking, travel, public/global health... member of the Ignatians Service Organization at LMU...
