Women's Rowing Takes Third at WCC Championship

The Lions collected 26 points with a third place finish in the second varsity eight and fourth place finishes in the varsity four and varsity eight to finish third overall at the 2012 WCC Rowing Championship Saturday on Lake Natoma.

Member of the silver medalist lightweight4+ at the 2010 WIRA Championships... 2009...
Spent most of the year as a member of the Second Varsity 8... also rowed with the varsity 4... member of lightweight 4 that won Long Beach Spring Regatta... competed with Second Varsity 8 at WCC and WIRA Championships...

High School... A 2008 graduate of Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ... competed on the rowing team... rowed all four years under coach Daniel G. Duxbury... received 1st place honors in the lightweight 2x at the 2008 Junior Southwest Regional Championships... received first place honors in the Lightweight 2x at the Youth Nationals in 2008, pairing with current LMU teammate Chris Erhart...

Personal... Sydney Catherine Sutton-Liswith was born October 6, 1989 in Phoenix, AZ... daughter of Jill Sutton and Mitchell Liswith... has a younger sister, Lane... chose LMU because of its psychology program, the rowing program and the coaches seemed fun and competitive... is majoring in psychology... hopes to become a school psychologist...
