Men's Rowing Wins Two Events at Chapman Regatta
The LMU men's rowing team sent four boats to the Chapman Regatta on April 14, taking first place in both the varsity four and novice four races.

NEWPORT, Calif. - The LMU men's rowing team sent four boats to the Chapman Regatta on April 14, taking first place in both the varsity four and novice four races.
In the varsity four race, the Lions' heavyweight crew of Theo Jacobson, Michael Morehart, Quin Thames, Brendan Henderson and coxswain Natasha Gunasekara pulled a winning time of 6:34.00. San Diego State was second (6:44.34), Cal State Long Beach was third (6:54.00), Chapman was fourth (6:54.24), LMU Lightweights were fifth (6:57.72 and UCLA was sixth (6:59.56).
The novice four heavyweight lineup of Jordan Furlong, Trevor Felix, Cameron Heath, Taylor Coletta and coxswain Trent Hosokawa ran away with a 6:34.60 victory in their race. LMU's time was more than 22 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Chapman (6:56.47). The LMU Lightweights finished third in 6:57.27, UCSB 'B' was fourth in 7:12.37 and UCSB 'A' was fifth in 7:14.7.
The Lions return to action on Saturday, April 20 in a tri-meet with UCS and UC Santa Barbara at Port of Los Angeles, Calif.
