Lions Compete at Head of the Marina
The LMU men's and women's rowing teams raced a trio of rigs at the Head of the Marina Regatta Saturday in Marina Del Rey.

LOS ANGELES - The LMU men's and women's rowing teams opened their final weekend of fall competition by racing a trio of boats at the Head of the Marina Regatta on Saturday. Hosted by the California Yacht Club, the teams race a 5,000 meter course in the Marina Del Rey Harbor.
Competing in the women's novice four, men's varsity eight and men's novice eight, the highlight of the day for the Lions was the men's V8+ which featured two freshman in the lineup and pulled the fastest time of the day - 17:54.00.
The men's novice eight finished in a time of 23:04.00 and the women's novice four pulled a time of 22:32.00.
The two Lion squads wrap up fall action Sunday at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival, racing in the W8+, W4+, M8+ and MF8+.
