Los Angeles, CA - The fall season comes to a close for LMU men's crew this Saturday as the novice 8 and varsity 8 boats will take on local rivals USC and UCLA at the Head of the Harbor race in San Pedro. The novice 8 will row at 8:15 a.m., followed by the varsity 8 at 9:15 a.m.

The Lions are looking for strong performances from both crews to bridge the gap between the fall and spring seasons. LMU's novice 8 lineup has changed from its last outing at the Head of the Marina regatta on November 1, when it placed ahead of four UCLA boats. On Saturday, LMU will send out cox Spencer Selva, Rich Mautino, Brian Pede, Eric Liddle, Jonathan Perkins, Sam Queen, Jake Ries, Zach Stuart, and Ryan Tomasich.

The varsity eights get their turn at 9:15 a.m. LMU's boat will feature cox Meghan Loftus, Hamilton Hiatt, Patrick Callan, Dominic Leone, Miles Dobbyn, James Clinton, Christof Wessbecher, Blake Foster, and Jordan Perez.

Fans wishing to attend the event may do so from the San Pedro Boathouse. From LMU, take 405 south to 110 south. Exit "C" street, turn right, then left on "Harry Bridges". Continue to a right turn on "Avalon", then left on "Water Street" and right on "Yacht Street". The boathouse is on the left past the fire station.

LMU will continue its training through the winter break in preparation for the spring season. The Lions will compete at the Beach Sprints in Long Beach on January 31 and then start the year in earnest on February 28 against San Diego State and UC Irvine.
