LMU competed against some of the best rowing programs in the nation on Saturday.

Ashley Brown enters her junior year at LMU and second year on the women's rowing team in 2013-14...

At LMU...
2012-13...helped the Varsity 8+ to a victory over WCC-Champion Gonzaga in a head-to-head on March 15 (7:21.84)...helped defend the Berg Cup with a victory in the Varsity 8+ race...guided LMU to a fourth-place finish in the JV8+ Grand Final at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship...guided the Varsity 8+ to a fourth-place finish in the Grand Final at the San Diego Crew Classic...guided the 2V8+ to a fourth-place finish at the WCC Championships, helping LMU to a third-place overall finish in the standings...

Brown was a three-sport athlete at Kamiak High School... competed for two years in soccer, two years in track and two years in rowing... rowed for the Everett Rowing Association, coached by Padriac McGovern... as a member of the Everett Rowing Association's women's four boat, Brown earned a bronze medal finish at the 2011 USRowing Youth National Championships on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.... Ashley Krista Brown was born Nov. 8, 1993 in Seattle, Wash.... parents are Kari and Daryle Brown... has two younger sisters, Haley and Mia... has volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and at the food bank... also considered attending Portland, Oregon State or Texas... chose LMU because she loved the feel of the school and it provided the major most useful for her career path... majoring in biology...
