Sobrosa Wins Single Sculls, Men Take Novice 8+

Janayna Sobrosa won the women's single sculls on Saturday at the Head of the Marina.

LMU competed against some of the best rowing programs in the nation on Saturday.

At LMU...
2013-14...recorded a top-10 finish in the collegiate 2- at the Head of the American...competed in the Varsity 8+ lineup...won the women's single sculls (21:34) at the Head of the Marina Regatta, helping LMU finish 1-4-5 in the race...helped LMU sweep the competition and claim its third straight Berg Cup...garnered preseason All-WCC honors...helped LMU's Varsity 8+ to the Petite Final at the San Diego Crew Classic...

2012-13...competed in the Varsity 8+ lineup...rowed in the Open 4+ at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival, helping the squad to a fourth-place finish and its first victory over USD in six years...helped the Varsity 8+ to a victory over WCC-Champion Gonzaga in a head-to-head on March 15 (7:21.84)...helped defend the Berg Cup with a victory in the Varsity 8+ race...guided the Varsity 8+ to a fourth-place finish in the Grand Final at the San Diego Crew Classic...guided the Varsity 8+ to a fourth-place finish at the WCC Championships, helping LMU to a third-place overall finish in the standings...
