The LMU men's rowing team hit the water at the Head of the Harbor last weekend in San Pedro, Calif., winning the Novice 8+ race and finishing third in the Varsity 4+ "A" and "B" races.

In a field that featured boats from San Diego State, Long Beach State, UCSB, USC and UCLA, the LMU men logged a time of 18:10 in the Novice Eights. San Diego State followed in second at 18:29.

The Varsity 4 "A" boat took third behind UCLA and UCSB with a time of 18:42, defeating USC (19:13). The "B" squad also took third in a field that featured three boats from UCLA and one from UCSB. The Bruins took the top-two spots, but LMU bested UCSB with a mark of 19:19.
