Men's Rowing Defeats UCLA to Close Out 2016 Competition

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. - In the final race of the calendar year, Loyola Marymount and UCLA squared off on Dec. 10 with a 5000 meter race that started in Ballona Creek and finished in the Marina in front of the LMU boathouse. The morning started with the Varsity 8 and finished with the Varsity 4 race. LMU's men split the two events, winning the Varsity 8 race and coming up short in the Varsity 4.

UCLA 2nd Varsity 8 17:09.78

UCLA Varsity 8 17:32.08 (Final time includes a 40 second penalty for steering into another crew)

UCLA Novice 8 19:39.54 (Final time includes a 60 second penalty for missing a buoy)

UCLA 2nd Novice 8 19:59.57

The morning races also kicked off the day's events, which were capped with the annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade viewing party from the Jane Browne Bove Boathouse.
