LMU Track & Field breaks several personal-records at the UCSD Triton Invitational.

Briefly... Andres Lopez is in his second season with LMU Cross Country and Track & Field...

At LMU... 2011-12... in cross-country, ran four 8k races... recorded a personal best of 26:31.8 at the UC Riverside Invitation... posted a time of 26:40.2 at the CSU Fullerton Titan Invitational... on the track, competed in nine races... set a personal-best time in the 3k steeplechase finishing 10th at the Ben Brown Invite in 10:22.60... ran a season-best 9:16.82 at the UCI Spring Break Invite...

High School... graduated from Los Altos High School... ran under Coaches Hess and Osa for 4 years and earned 6 varsity letters in cross country and track... was captain of his team his senior year... 2-time All-Miramonte/Hacienda League runner at cross country... received Most Valuable Runner award, Best Distance Runner award and was a CIF participant... also lettered in soccer for 3 years under Coaches Hess and Sperling where he won Most Improved and was a CIF participant...

Personal... Andres Alberto Lopez was born on November 4, 1993 in Monterey Park, CA... he has a brother, Christopher, who attends Cal State University, Long Beach... is a pre-physical therapy major...chose LMU because of its environment and welcoming feeling from professors and students.
