Records Broken During Busy Weekend for Track

Michael Carlone sets new school record in 3k steeplechase, Weston Strum, running unattached, sets two PRs during one day.

Briefly... Andres Lopez is in his first season with LMU Cross Country and Track...

At LMU... 2011-12... in cross country ran four 8k races... recorded a personal best of 26:31.8 at the UC Riverside Invitation... Posted a time of 26:40.2 at the CSU Fullerton Titan Invitational

High School... graduated from Los Altos High School... ran under Coaches Hess and Osa for 4 years and earned 6 varsity letters in cross country and track... was captain of his team his senior year... 2-time All-Miramonte/Hacienda League runner at cross country... received Most Valuable Runner award, Best Distance Runner award and was a CIF participant... also lettered in soccer for 3 years under Coaches Hess and Sperling where he won Most Improved and was a CIF participant...

Personal... Andres Alberto Lopez was born on November 4, 1993 in Monterey Park, CA... he has a brother, Christopher, who attends Cal State University, Long Beach... is a pre-physical therapy major...chose LMU because of its environment and welcoming feeling from professors and students...
