Ali Mann

Ali Mann is in her second season with the Lions as an assistant coach for the women's program. Collegiately Mann ran impressive cross country and track careers for William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. In cross country she helped her team place in the top twenty at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 1997 and 1998. In addition, they were also the Colonial Athletic Association team champions three years in a row in 1996, 1997 and 1998, and earned USTFCCCA Team Academic All-American status for two years. On the track, she still holds the school Freshman Outdoor Record in the 800m, having run 2:13.40 in 1997 and also qualified for NCAAs in the 1500m with 4:23 in 2000. Currently Mann teaches Health at Culver City High School and continues to run competitively for Nike Team LA. In 2003, she was a USA Track and Field qualifier in the steeplechase. She still regularly competes to prepare for the USA Track and Field Championships and Olympic Trials and has recorded post-collegiate personal bests of 2:07 (800m), 4:21 (1500m), 4:47 (mile), 10:27 (steeplechase), and 17:05 (5000m). |
