LMU Athletics announces its Hall of Fame Class of 2015.
Seniors Weston Strum and Sheree Shea will race for All-American status at the NCAA Championships this week in Eugene, Ore.
Senior Weston Strum will join classmate Sheree Shea at the NCAA Championships after placing seventh overall in the 5k Saturday night.
Sheree Shea punched the LMU track team's first ticket to the 2014 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday night with her eighth place finish in the 10K.
At LMU... 2006-07... named LMU Female Student-Athlete of the Year for the second straight season... won the WCC Championship with a 6k time of 21:16... finished seventh at the NCAA Regional to qualify for the NCAA Championship, where she finished 50th in the nation... was an All-WCC first-team selection for the second straight season... won three other regular season titles at the Cal State Fullerton Invitational, SDSU Aztec Invitational, and the Cal Poly Invitational... named the WCC Female Runner of the Month for September and October... in track, won the 1500m at the Occidental Distance Carnival... qualified for the NCAA Regional for the second straight year in the 5000m, where she finished fifteenth... 2005-06... named LMU Female Student-Athlete of the Year... a first-team All-WCC selection after placing seventh in 18:23... finished in the top-30 at the NCAA West Regional (21:22)... in track, became the all-time first Lion to advance to the NCAA National Championships, where she finished in the top-25 in the 5000m (16:43.61)... earlier in the season, she became the first official LMU track event champion when she won the 3000m at the Pomona Pitzer All-Comers meet (10:00.09)... finished track season with three school records: 1500m (4:34.42, Occidental Invite), 3000m (9:53.57, UC Irvine Collegiate Classic), and the 5000m (16:30.4, Cardinal Invitational)... 2004... finished sixth overall at the Bronco Invitational with a time of 19:57.90... clocked a time of 24:06 (73rd overall) at the Stanford Invitational... finished in the top-25 with a season-best time of 19:26 at the WCC Championship... clocked a 23:30 mark at the NCAA Regionals...
High School... a 2004 graduate of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, Calif... recorded a top-15 finish at the tough Bay League cross country championships and went on to run 5:06 for the 1600m on the track in 2004... was a three-time letterwinner and captain of her senior track team for prep coaches Renee Williams Smith and Bob Fish... ran high school cross country and track with LMU teammates Melani Hom and Caitlin Jennings...

Laura Lynn Mickelson was born July 4, 1986... daughter of Julia and Ralph Quinones and Scott Mickelson... mother and step-father work at LMU... also has a twin sister, Sara, and an older brother, Eric... a natural science major with a pre-physical/occupational therapy emphasis... also minoring in business administration.
