Vorgitch Sets LMU Record in 3,000M Steeple

Freshman Michael Vorgitch set a school record in the 3,000m steeplechase, Sheree Shea win the women's 5,000m and every competing Lion achieved either a season or career best Friday at the Occidental Distance Carnival.

Briefly... Taylor Paschen is in her first season with LMU Cross Country and Track & Field... transferred from San Diego in 2013...

At San Diego... 2011-12... in cross-country, competed in three meets during the fall, running her top 5k time of 19:13.4 at the Titan Invitational... also competed in the UC Riverside Invitational (6k; 24:02.2) and Bronco Invite (5k; 20:25.7)... in track, competed in the 4x400 relay, distance medley, 400m, 800m and 1000m... raced mostly in the 800m with her best time coming at the Pomona Pitzer Invitational, where she ran a 2:17.94... named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.70 GPA... named Freshman of the Year for San Diego in 2012... named to USD Dean's List, first honors...

High School... attended Adolfo Camarillo High School, where she earned one varsity letter in cross country and two in track... as a senior, was named first-team All-League in cross country and a Scholar-Athlete... was named the 2010 Most Improved track athlete and her team's 2011 Sprinter of the Year... earned Scholar-Athlete honors in 2010 and 2011... covered by the Camarillo Acorn and Ventura County Star...

Personal... Taylor Anne Paschen was born July 6, 1993 to parents Greg and Michelle Paschen... has one sister Mackenzie who attends the University of San Diego... chose LMU because of its "strong academics, beautiful location and excellent coaching staff."
