LaCava Smokin' Fast
LaCava clocks a 4:11 indoor mile at UW Invitational this past weekend
Feb. 3, 2010
Los Angeles, Calif. - This past weekend LMU track athlete Daniel LaCava showed that his winter break was spent on the roads, clocking those miles, putting in the training, to get ready for track season. At the 2010 University of Washington Invitational this past Saturday, LaCava clocked a smoking fast 4:11 mile on the Dempsey Indoor track in Seattle WA.
For his first race on the track in months, LaCava's 4:11 mile was a huge success. Trevor Wiseman currently holds the LMU outdoor mile record at 4:21.96 however, if this past weekend is any indicaor, LaCava will be after that record on the outdoor tracks in just a few weeks.
Coach Scott Guerrero said, "Daniel has really been putting in consistent training. This is the first time in a while he has been able to really accumulate some miles and training injury free, it is great to see him have success already. Hopefully there is only more to come from him this season."
