SEATTLE, Wash. -- LMU junior Weston Strum finished the 3000-meter at the Husky Classic in 8:10.22, setting a new school record on the indoor track. Strum and senior Sheree Shea competed in first meet of the 2013 season hosted by the University of Washington featuring runners from across the country.

Strum's time was 17th of 84 competitors. Shea finished the 3000m in 9:58.93, 39th overall at the meet.

The Lions return to the track on Saturday, Feb. 16 in Claremont, Calif. at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers meet.
