Erdmann Places 4th at Husky Classic
LMU's Tara Erdmann Places 4th and sets a new school record

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Earlier today, LMU's Tara Erdmann placed 4th in the 3000m distance race at the 2011 Flotrack Husky Classic. The indoor meet was hosted by the University of Washington in Seattle and was Erdmann's first race of an indoor season.
With this performance, Erdmann broke her previous best and the school record by one second finishing in 9:18. Erdmann ran a stellar time and performance early in the season and continues to set herself as a top distance runner in the nation. As part of the fastest seeded 3000m race, Erdmann was up against top track runners from across the nation including Penn State, Arizona, Stanford and Texas.
Last year, Erdmann ended her track season on a high becoming an All-American in the 10k. In Cross Country, Erdmann continued her success winning the West Coast Conference Championships, placing 4th at NCAA West Regionals and then culminating with a top 25 finish at Cross Country Nationals. Now with two All-American honors, one in Track and one in Cross Country Erdmann can only continue to compete with the top. In her first race of the her track season, she has already proved she will continue to do so.
