LMU Came Out Strong in 1,500m Debut

LMU Women & Men competed in 1500m at Cal State LA Invitational today.

Danielle Shanahan cruised to victory running 4:30.16. Hannah Wohlenberg was a heat-winner running 4:45.32, which make her the 10th fastest freshman all-time in LMU history. Emily Hubert was 3rd for LMU with a 4:48.82 and Maddi Vorgitch set a new personal best of 4:50.89. Overall, five women placed in the top 20.

On the Men's side, LMU took the first two spots as Brandon Estrada out-kicked Jordan McLennan running 3:56.46 and 3:56.97 respectively. Three men had personal bests including Jack Polerecky (4:00.93), Koby Pederson (4:03.29) and Joey Rodgers (4:12.84). The Men had 5 in the top 15. Outstanding day for the Lions and a great start to the season thus far.
