Lions Close Out Track Season at NCAA West Preliminary
Weston Strum placed 13th in the men's 5K to lead four Lions at the 2013 NCAA Track & Field West Preliminary Round.

AUSTIN, Texas - The 2013 LMU men's and women's track season came to a close at the NCAA West Preliminary Thursday through Saturday at the University of Texas in Austin.
Saturday nearly saw Weston Strum keep his season alive and become the first LMU male to advance to the NCAA Championship. His 13:59.79 performance in the 5,000m was good for 13th overall, just one position shy of advancement. The top five finishers in each of the two heats, along with the next best two times overall moved on the the NCAA Championship.
Sheree Shea concluded her junior season with a 36:23.05, 24th place finish in the 10,000m and a 16:49.57, 27th place finish in the 5,000m.
