Complete NCAA West Preliminary Round Results

AUSTIN, Texas - The 2013 LMU men's and women's track season came to a close at the NCAA West Preliminary Thursday through Saturday at the University of Texas in Austin.

Saturday nearly saw Weston Strum keep his season alive and become the first LMU male to advance to the NCAA Championship. His 13:59.79 performance in the 5,000m was good for 13th overall, just one position shy of advancement. The top five finishers in each of the two heats, along with the next best two times overall moved on the the NCAA Championship.

Sheree Shea concluded her junior season with a 36:23.05, 24th place finish in the 10,000m and a 16:49.57, 27th place finish in the 5,000m.

Senior Caroline Draper placed 43rd overall in the 10,000m in a time of 37:40.47 and junior Kevin Joerger was 35th in the men's 10K in 31:43.39.
