Erdmann Medals at NACAC U23 Championships
Erdmann represents team USA with a third place overall finish at the NACAC U23 Championships

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - This past weekend, junior Tara Erdmann represented team USA at the NACAC U23 (North American, Central American, Caribbean) Championships earning a medal for the USA with a third place finish in the women's 5k race. Erdmann who had been sick with food poisoning night before her race battled through fatigue and dehydration to place third overall with an 18:27.
The NACAC U23 championship (North American, Central American, Caribbean) Championships hosted top young track athletes from around the world at the Ansin Sports Complex, in Miramar, in Florida. Erdmann was one of the select few athletes invited from across the country to compete for the USA. In addition, Erdmann was one of just a handful of athletes from the west coast invited to compete; she was in elite company with other Team USA athletes from historically prestigious track programs such as Kansas, Florida State, Clemson, Miami, Arizona State and West Virginia.
Head Coach Scott Guerrero said, "This was not only a great event to have the opportunity to participate in, but Tara really has been able to represent LMU in a positive light this post season. She has shown the nation just what an incredible athlete and competitor she is."
In the championships, team USA picked up 31 more medals on Sunday to close out the competition and bring the total to a record 74 medals.
