Loyola Marymount University held its annual Graduation Ceremonies Saturday, May 7 and 81 LMU student-athletes earned their undergraduate degree during the 2016 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremonies on the LMU campus.

A pair of trips to the NCAA Sweet 16 was the highlight of the 2016 Lions Athletic Fund Iggy Awards on Wednesday, April 28th at the DoubleTree LA Westside. Women's volleyball and women's soccer, who had historic runs in the their respective NCAA tournaments, were part of the many honors recognized at the 11th Annual Iggy Awards.

The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday and LMU junior Danielle Shanahan is primed to make her first career appearance on the national stage. Hosted by the University of Louisville at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky., the women’s 6k will begin at noon Eastern Time.

For the seventh time in 10 years, LMU women’s cross country will be represented at the NCAA National Championships. Junior Danielle Shanahan has been granted an at-large berth following her 13th-place finish at the West Regional meet on Friday.

Friday the 13th was anything but unlucky for junior Danielle Shanahan who raced to a 13th place overall finish at the NCAA Division I Cross Country West Regionals Friday afternoon at Jefferson Park Golf Course. Her finish lead the Lion women to a 16th place team finish int he field of 35. The Lion men took 17th in the field of 30 competing teams.
