In cross country... All-West Region selection... All-WCC First Team selection... placed third at the West Coast Conference Championships in an LMU all-time record 6k time of 19:50.7... placed 19th overall at the NCAA West Region Championships in a time of 20:46.4... competed in six total meets... named WCC Runner of the Month in September... placed in the top-10 in all four regular-season meets she competed in... won the WCC Preview on Sept. 13 in a time of 20:50.9... In track... continued her stellar sophomore season with a second straight trip to the NCAA West Preliminary, qualifying in the 5,000m... went on to place 21st overall in 16:36.90... set an LMU all-time record with her 9:32.30 finish in the 3,000m at the West Coast Quadrangular (Feb. 21)... top time of 4:21.02 in the 1,500m would rank second by less than half of one second to All-American Tara Erdmann... also ran a PR 16:12.54 in the 5,000m at the Stanford Invitational (Apr. 3), good for No. 3 in LMU's all-time record book... 2:15.20 finish in the 800m at the Triton Invitational (Apr. 25) would rank No. 4 in LMU's all-time record book at season's end...

In cross country... WCC Freshman of the Year... finished 15th at the West Coast Conference Championships with a time of 21:47... placed 55th at the NCAA DI West Region Championships with a 6k personal best of 20:48... ran a 5k personal best 17:53.0 at the Mark Covert Classic... WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll... In track... advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary in the 5,000m... placed 40th overall in a time of 17:14.56... season best in the 5k was 16:19.73, set at the West Coast Last Chance Meet... also best times of 4:25.32 in the 1,500m at the West Coast Invitational and 9:54.20 in the 3,000m at the West Coast Quadrangular....

All-Area as a senior... Four time All-Del Rey League selectee... All-State Division IV for two years... All-CIF for three seasons... in state finished ninth in 2010 and second in 2012... 2012 CIF SS D4 Champion with a time of 16:41 on the Mt. Sac Rain Course... two-time Del Rey League Champion (2010 and 2012)...

Parents are Felicia and Daniel Shanahan... has a younger sister, Katherine, and younger brother, Matthew... considered UC Irvine, Long Beach State, Biola University, UC Santa Barbara and University of San Diego before deciding to attend LMU...
