The Lions are eager to begin a new season with the addition of new talent to an experienced group of returners.

Briefly... Daniel Gibson is in his first season with LMU Cross Country & Track... transferred from the University of Washington in 2012...

At Washington... 2011-12... in cross-country, finished 6th at the Emerald City Open in 26:59.7... record a time of 20:48 in the 4 mile at the Mike Hodges Invite...

At Washington... 2010-11... redshirted the season in cross-country... on the track, ran one race, placing seventh at the Ken Shannon Invite with a time of 15:23.02...

High School... graduate of Squalicum High School... named Team MVP as a senior in cross-country... named All-NWC conference and All-County as a junior and senior... two-time state cross-country competitor at the 2A level in Washington state... finished seventh at the Washington state championships leading his team to a third-place finish... finished 25th overall at the state's 2A meet as a junior... placed 50th overall at the 2009 BorderClash meet... on the track, placed fourth in the state's 2A meet... runner-up at his league championship meet...

Personal... Daniel Gibson was born to parents Jean and Jim Gibson in Torrance, CA... he has one sister, Erin, and one brother, Patrick... a computer science major... an Eagle Scout, and member of Whatcom Tesseract Track Club.
