At LMU 2009-10...ran five races for the Lions...recorded a season best at CSU Fullerton Titan Invitational in 26:39 where he placed 19th overall...in track ran a season best of 4:17 at the Irvine Invitational...recorded an all time personal best of 16:22 Cal/Nevada Championships...

At LMU... 2008-09... ran in four races for the lions this season...finished his season with a personal best for the 8000m at the CSUF Titan Invitational in 26:37...led the lions at the UC Riverside Invitational with a season best for 8000m in 27:27...in track, ran 4:16 for 1500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational and recorded a season best of 9:23 for the 3000m at the UC Irvine Invitational... At LMU... 2007-08... ran team's third best time at the Titan Invitational with a 27:16...ran team's third best time in the short course at the Stanford Invitational with a 13:37... in track, ran team's fourth best time in the 1 mile with a 4:45 at Pomona- Pitzer Invitational... ran team's eighth best time in the 1500m with a 4:17 at UCSD Triton Invitational...

High School... a 2007 graduate of Don Bosco Technical Institute in Rosemead, Calif... served as captain of the cross country and track teams his junior and senior seasons for Coaches Sal Perez and Justin Torres...

Personal... Michael Anthony Herrera was born April 21, 1989, in Montebello, Calif... son of Ernestine and George Herrera... has an older brother, Christopher, and a younger sister, Jennifer... an athletic training major.
