Personal... Kelli Nicole Sugimoto was born January 11, 1994 in Torrance, Calif. to parents Mollie and Cary Sugimoto... has one sister, Kayla... volunteered at L.A. Skid Row, feeding and making relationships with the homeless... president of the "Lend a Hand" club in high school... member of Friendship Circle club and organization... volunteered at Sports Beach Camps helping young people with special needs... considered Santa Clara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Arizona, Rice, UC Davis, Univ. of San Francisco, Alabama, Univ. of San Diego, Wyoming, UC Berkeley, and Stanford before deciding to attend LMU... chose LMU because she "immediately felt at home" when touring the campus for the first time, its size, because it is "big enough to branch out and explore and small enough to lead, thrive, and not get lost in it," the campus's beauty, the Hannon Library, the coaches, and the team... an English major. |
