The LMU men's and women's cross country teams placed a trio of runners on the 2013 West Coast Conference All-Academic First Teams while seven additional Lions were named to their respective Honorable Mention teams, the league office announced Thursday.
The Lions dominated the field Saturday morning in Malibu at the WCC Preview Meet, easily taking both team titles while Grace Graham-Zamudio and Weston Strum took top individual honors for the second time this season.
The Lions participate in their final race before the conference championships next Saturday in Portland.
LMU's women get their second victory of the season after winning the UC San Diego Triton Invitational. LMU's men finish second.
LMU Cross Country travels to up the state for the annual Stanford Invitational.
