High School... graduated from San Pedro High School... ran under Coach Bruce Thomson for 4 years and earned 4 varsity letters in cross country and track... All-Marine League 3 times in cross country and 4 time in track... received Scholar-Athlete Award (2007-2010)... Marine League Champions in cross-country (2007-2010)... LA City Varsity runner-up in cross country (2010)... All-Marine League (2007-2009)... San Pedro Pirate Service Award winner... Marine League Athletic Scholar Team award recipient... Marine League 3200m individual champion in track...

Velasquez was born on October 2, 1993 in San Salvador, El Salvador... he has a brother, Rolando, and a sister, Diana who attend Cal State Dominguez Hills, as well as a younger sister Tanya...chose LMU for the beauty of the campus and its family atmosphere... a civil engineering major...
