Lions Run at Ben Brown Invitational
A number of the athletes set personal bests.

Fullerton, Calif. - Last Saturday, the Loyola Marymount University cross country team sent eight individuals to compete in the Ben Brown Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton.
On the men's side, freshmen, Chris Heinfeld and Greg Corry, along with sophomore Daniel Judnick competed in the 1500-meter run. For the freshmen, it was their first collegiate race at the distance. Heinfeld broke the tape in 4:24.44, with Corry just behind in 4:24.97. Judnick finished in 4:48.88.
For the women, sophomore Allison Bernardi, along with freshmen Kristina Hurlbut and Erin Wilkinson were all entered in the 1500-meter run. Again, for the freshmen this was their first-ever college race at this distance. Wilkinson led the charge with a 5:23.35, while Hurlbut and Bernardi finished in 5:34.08 and 5:57.07, respectively.
The Lions will next be in action when they run at the Occidental Distance Carnival, Friday, March 21.
