Munoz Third Overall to Lead Lions at Mustang Challenge

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Racing a "B" squad of runners in both the men's and women's races, the LMU cross country team competed at The Mustang Challenge Saturday morning, hosted by The Master's College at Central Park in Santa Clarita.
The women's team finished second among five teams in the Division I Invite. Brittnie Munoz was third overall, finishing the 5k in 18:00.20, behind a pair of UCLA runners. Kyra Burke (13th, 18:43.19), Kelly Parsons (14th, 18:45.29) and Chloe Curtis (16th, 18:47.90) all finished in the top 20 among 59 total runners.
A full Lion squad will return to the competition course next week, traveling to the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 28.
