Based on the latest NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate, LMU swimming and men's cross country/track have earned NCAA Public Recognition Awards.
The honor is bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports in the 2015-16 academic year. The complete list of all those recognized can be found on ncaa.org or by using the Academic Progress Rate Public Recognition Awards Search Database.
Both swimming and men's cross country/track earned perfect APR scores in the single year when the APR was announced in May.
With the selection, LMU swimming has now earned the Public Recognition Award in seven straight seasons. In total, swimming has taken home the recognition eight times.
Men's cross country has been selected four times, while track has been lauded twice.
