'B' Squad Competes at Mustang Challenge

Mustang Challenge Central

LOS ANGELES - Seven women and seven men will be competing for the LMU cross country teams at the Mustang Challenge, hosted by The Master's College Sunday morning in Santa Clarita, Calif. The women's 5k gets underway at 8:00 a.m. while the men's 8k follows at 8:45 a.m. from Central Park.

Representing the Lion women will be Marisa Carino, Lorena Garcia, Jessica Gonzales, Evelyn Gonzalez, Kelly Parsons, Taylor Paschen and Alexandra Young. Eighteen teams will race in the women's field including NCAA DI programs Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Grand Canyon, Sacramento State and USC.

For the men, it will be Grant Lapovich, Harry Loasby, Andres Lopez, Douglas Petree, Waseem Radi, Ryan Vargas and Derek Weber representing LMU. There are also 18 entered men's teams including NCAA DI programs Cal State Fullerton, Grand Canyon and Sacramento State.

 

 

LMU's women placed second to UCLA in the DI field in 2013 while the men took fourth.
